Blessed is the Kingdom

Seeking The Kingdom In All Things

Mood Indigo

Have you ever felt so sick that even though you could feel your stomach growling for food and your head aching for pain killers, you could only just barely will yourself out of bed to take care of it? That was how I felt yesterday. I’m not certain where I acquired this particular bug, but it was a strong one. Today, I am feeling much better and while still tired, I am thankful to have the energy to write a few sentences here, cook some soup and maybe even watch a movie later. It is great to be sick every once in awhile so as to be reminded of the simple, overlooked gifts God provides faithfully each day.

P.S. – Fr. Gregory Jensen has a terrific short film posted on his blog today. You can view it below.

Hope you feel better! I guess getting sick is God’s way of pressing the “pause” button on your hectic life?

That video link was awesome! What a concept. I got on a plane right after that and had 2 interesting interactions with other passengers just by smiling and starting a conversation.

Hope you’re all better. I enjoyed Deacon Payne. It was also good to see a baseball glove in one seminarian’s room.
