Blessed is the Kingdom

Seeking The Kingdom In All Things

Raindrops keep falling on my head

Although it continues to rain here in East Tennessee and there is even the threat of snow tonight, my mood does not match the weather. I woke up this morning feeling myself again. There is still the residual effects of sickness, but things seem to be on the mend. I am extremely grateful to Carmen and Jose Rivera who saw yesterday’s picture of Campbell’s soup and decided to deliver some real chicken soup today along with homemade bread sticks. One tried and true method of improving my bodily health while at the same time raising my spirits is homemade soup. There is a great soup restaurant in Chicago that helped me through four chilly winters in the Windy City. The cozy confines of that place never failed to cheer me up and to put the cold to flight. So even though the weather outside continues to be cold and wet, I give thanks for non-leaky rooftops, good friends and warm bowls of chicken soup!
