Thanks for checking in at the "getting to know you" section of the blog Michelle!

I love it when people take the time to answers some of all of the questions. It helps me to know a little bit about my readers. I love your quote, the new Star Trek and Alfred Delp. I have a copy of Encounters With Silence that has not been read.

Hope to see you often here and I look forward to our continued conversation.

1. Where are you from? Where do you currently live?
I was born in Indonesia but for the past 16 years, have been living in Singapore.

2. Why do you visit this blog?
I just happend to search for an answer to a question on "Why love covers multitude of sins" (explaination according to Catholic teaching) when I came across this blog. Seems very interesting and I will surely come back here again.

3. What is a typical day like for you? What’s your favorite part of the day?
No typical day in particular or any favorite part of the day for me before but I guess recently I've found the time when I get up and spend time talking to God.. I do enjoy the most!

4. What is something significant you’ve learned this year?
Aha... Good question!! I have learnt when you've promised God that you're ready for HIM to use you... you better keep your promise and get ready for HIM... :D

5. What is your favorite quote?
I have few favorite quotes from the Scripture but the most I like and hold on to each time I face any problem in life; "... If God is with us, who shall go against us? (Romans 8:31)"

6. Recommend: one book, one musician, one movie, one blog.
Book: Your best life now by Joel Osteen
Musician: Hayley Westenra
Movie:Passion of Christ

7. What is one thing you’d like to brag about…..if your were a bragger?
God has chosen me... :D

8. Who is one of your heroes?
Jesus Christ

9. What is one thing you would like to do that you have not yet accomplished?
Be an obedient labor in HIS vineyard...

10. If you have a blog, what is the web address?
--

Thank you and hope to come back here again soon..

Be blessed and be a blessing,
Anjelica

This is my first visit to this site...looks like one I'll return to regularly. I'm a Third Order Carmelite (Tertiary) with private vows living a hermetic life offering my life of adoration, penance, reparation and intercession for the sanctification of priests and for priests no longer faithful to their calling. Having once lived in a community, I experienced the seal of confession broken twice due to the disease of alcoholism. A saintly Jesuit invited me to offer my life for priests in order to move along toward healing. I praise God for the grace of accepting Father's invitation as God's call upon my life. After 6 years as a profesed Tertiary, I renewed my consecration with private vows in the hands of my pastor on July 16,2000 with that specific intention. If it be God's holy will, I will become a canonical hermit in the near future. If not, my life will continue on just the same.
May the Lord thru the powerful intercession of our Blessed Mother bless you, your sacred ministry and all who read this site.
Your brother in the Sacred Hearts,
Anthony Joseph of the Holy Eucharist, T.O.Carm.

I'm from New Jersey.

A typical day for me means getting up, going to Mass, driving to work ... I'm a reporter at a secular newspaper in NJ.

My favorite quote is "We are made for greater things. We are made to love and to be loved" -- Mother Teresa

6. I recommend the short stories of Flannery O'Connor, a movie called "What About Bob?" musician Toby Mac, and if you like sports, check out this sports blog: http://ztyonk88.wordpress.com/ "All About Ball."

One of my heroes is my mother. She founded a crisis pregnancy center here in New Jersey and works hard helping families. (http://www.lifechoicesonline.org/)

One thing I would like to accomplish? Well, I only started working at my newspaper one month ago, but I'm hoping and waiting for an opportunity to show the "other side of the story" with regard to Catholic priests. The media only seems to publicize negative things about our beloved priests, who work so hard. I would like to use my career to defend them, by telling true stories of the good they do.

My blog is Working Catholics: Keeping the Faith in the work place.
