Blessed is the Kingdom

Seeking The Kingdom In All Things

Landslide

DSCN0170Things feel very different this week.

All of a sudden the reality of change has hit me. I have known for weeks now that my friend Fr. David will be leaving and that I will be succeeding him as pastor of St. Thomas, but it took physically moving into a new room and office to bring me to the realization of this new chapter of life.

It is amazing just how much a move across or down the hall can change one’s outlook. There is certainly a difference. There is a new sense of responsibility and concern that comes with the job that I have not experienced on this level.

The positive part of this transition is the willingness of so many people to give their gifts and time to ensure St. Thomas will continue being a vibrant community. I am thankful for all those who care enough to share their unique skills for the sake of the entire parish as we move into a new chapter of our history.

Please keep St. Thomas Parish in prayer as our parishioners and I begin this new journey together.
