Blessed is the Kingdom

Seeking The Kingdom In All Things

Simple Prayer

tLuk1811Dore_ThePhariseeAndThePublican

To pray is quite straightforward. Stand with the mind in the heart before the face of the Lord and cry: ‘Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me’, or just: ‘Lord have mercy’, ‘Most merciful Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner’ — or with any other words. The power is not in the words, but in the thoughts and feelings.

Good advice from this saint. This is the second post I’ve come across today that mentions the Jesus Prayer-Fr Stephen over at Glory To God also mentioned it. Perhaps God’s way of telling me I need to pray it a little more often.
    Powerful picture as well.
    Thanks and God Bless!
