What a novel idea..”Sabbath rest”. Only joking. I agree, we in the U.S. are so clued out as to the true meaning of a day of rest, in the case of Catholics that would be Sunday. Even though I try desperately to have this day be solely for the worship of our Lord and family/rest time, here I am posting on a blog! My husband is in his study watching football, although I must admit we did both spend most of the day at worship, prayer and in quiet with one another.

It does not seem right that resting on Sunday should feel like a chore. I need to keep trying to develop this habit so it will come natural.

I do something similar to this already called Sunday Snippets, hosted at This, That and The Other Thing if you want to check it out. I don’t know if I can do both – I guess it would defeat the purpose of Sabbath rest! But maybe once in awhile I can join in here. Also, I do a meme called Sabbath Moments, done on Saturday, if anyone is interested.
