Thanks for sharing your posts everyone. As we say in the south, I'm fixin' to go read them!

Yes Elizabeth, it is rest for the mind and spirit if you can find some alone time. My friend David and I usually hike alone, together---if you understand what I mean by that.

Colleen---hope you aren't in trouble!

I love this idea Fr. Christian! I have been in the habit of joining Jennifer's MEME at My Chocolate Heart on Sunday's offering Praise for the past week. Maybe I'll make my praise post on Saturday's at the week's end so that I can join you in a Sabbath Sunday next week.

Fr. Christian, I am submitting a post from April about my husband's and my anniversary. Since it is his birthday today, I thought it would be good to re-post that one. Thanks for starting this Sabbath Sunday and God bless.

Fr. Christian, there is little "rest" on the AT. My husband and son were through-hikers when the kiddo was 10 years old. (They gained some fame from that.) The other kids and I have hiked portions of it. The rest is mental, not physical -- but if one is not caught up in the camaraderie of the through-hikers, there is definitely spiritual fulfillment. I love the mountain tops -- not just from the Appalachians, but also from the Rockies and the Alps. God's country!

I will do the Sabbath resting blog and link (and therefore actually take a day off) when my time zone reaches Sunday. (Even though I am right now in South Carolina, my computer and Blogger think I am in California.)

Have a blessed Sabbath. (I get to try out a new church -- I do that when I travel, and it is always interesting.)
