Sabbath Sunday: Deacon Payne

Today’s Sabbath Sunday post allows me to share a video made by recent graduates of Mundelein Seminary in Chicago that always makes me laugh. There are definitely some theological inside jokes and lots of folks being disciplined by the ever vigilant Deacon Payne, but what I love is the humor still present in these now newly ordained priests. They have a clear understanding of theology, but do not take themselves too seriously. You can view the original post here.

Once again you are invited to join me in promoting the Sabbath by taking a break from your normal blogging.  Please share an older post from your blog that is near and dear to your heart. Make sure to leave your name and the URL of your post below and share a comment if you so desire. I look forward to reading your recycled posts!

    Greetings, Father,

I actually posted a short story which was written years ago as I was trying to find my way back Home. It was inspired at Mass, when I really didn’t understand what Mass was about. It’s NOT written to be “liturgically correct” because, well…I didn’t know what I was doing! So, we’ll see if, in the end this qualifies for a post.

    Incidentally I’ll be studying today for a Liturgy/Sacraments exam….
