Sabbath Sunday: Ordinary Time
Since we have just begun the season of Ordinary Time, I thought it would be appropriate to repost this reflection from the beginning of last year’s season. You can check it out by clicking here.
Once again you are invited to join me in promoting the Sabbath by taking a break from your normal blogging. Please share an older post from your blog that is near and dear to your heart. Make sure to leave your name and the URL of your post below and share a comment if you so desire. I look forward to reading your recycled posts!

Enjoyed your post and the comments on Ordinary Time. Thanks. God bless.
Fr. Christian, your posts never fail to educate me. This one was especially significant. It is in the ordinary that I meet Christ so often. As Colleen mentioned in her linked post today, one finds God so often in “out-of-the-blue” gentle mercies. I have certainly experienced far more miracles than my share or than I deserve; yet, at the same time, it is finding God standing right beside me when I am suffering through a difficult meeting, have to brief a high-ranking government official, or want to help a family member, employee, or friend in trouble.
Thanks for hosting this series. Today, especially, given my son-in-law’s death on Friday, I am grateful for the chance to reach out to others without the effort of writing a new post. It is a good idea that you had; giving the Sabbath back to God.
Elizabeth,
It isn’t exactly my idea, but I like it. Hope you are doing ok under the circumstances and thanks for your support of this idea. There seem to be only a few of us at present, but I am still committed to the idea. I am praying for you and your family.
