Thanks Elizabeth!

I really enjoy looking back to older posts too. It helps me see snapshots of where I have been and hopefully to look at the road ahead as well.

Fr. Christian, sorry for linking so late. It is rather ironic that I am ten hours ahead of you in time zones and yet link up late -- timing of the day was the problem. I had to teach 6 hours in Lithuania today, which would have been the early morning hours in the USA. Then, I needed to be a path to St. Casimir's for the last Mass of the day. So, only now, I made it here.

Thanks again for hosting, and I enjoyed your post on Sean's homily. I have missed a lot of your earlier posts, so it is a fun surprise seeing which ones you choose as special to share on Sunday. As for the question, I don't have a lot of ideas, but I do know that our Monday night prayer group has resulted in a lot of growth in faith among all of us. Some folks who have had trouble praying developed greater comfort with it. We have seen more than our share of miracles -- God has blessed us that way. It happens that not everyone can make it every week. For example, last week and this week I am in Lithuania. Still, I got a taste of prayer group when I reached into my pocket after arriving here and finding a note in my coat pocket from one of the PG members, saying that she would be praying for me while I was away. We call or email each other with prayer requests for the meeting if we are not going to be able to make it or, if a prayer is needed more urgently, before the meeting. It has become a wonderful way to support each other's spiritual growth and share an experience of God in our midst.
