Blessed is the Kingdom

Seeking The Kingdom In All Things

Be United with Humility

He who has been united with humility as his bride is above all gentle, kind, easily moved to compunction, sympathetic, calm, bright, compliant, inoffensive, vigilant, not indolent, and (why say more?) free from passion; for the Lord remembered us in our humility, and redeemed us from our enemies, and our passions and impurities.

Interesting–I just have a person I met in our parish’s RCIA program say the thing that blew her away about the Catholics she has met in town is how humble they are, and how affirming she finds that in making the choice to become Catholic (from a non-denominational Christian community originally). I was touched, and it’s making me think. Thanks for continuing the thought process with this piece.
