Beautiful Feet
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news. (Romans 10:15)
Today we celebrate the feast of St. Andrew. It is Andrew who introduced his brother Peter to Jesus, making him one of the first people to share the good news of the coming of the messiah. Andrew continued sharing the good news with others until he, like Jesus, was crucified. Today’s reading from the Letter to the Romans quotes the prophet Isaiah in saying, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news.” Our feet bring us into contact each day with people in need of hearing the good news. Let us be alert and ready for the opportunities we will have to share that good news with those around us today.
