Christ Sends His Disciples To Preach Forgiveness

by Fr. Christian Mathis on April 23, 2012

This past weekend, I gave one of my shortest Sunday homilies in recent memory. I was committed to a mass shortly after our parish ones for the participants of our most recent Rachel’s Vineyard retreat. Forgiveness is at the heart of our faith. We are called both to seek it and to give it. You can here the homily here.

Wow.  Loved the homily.  It may have been short but there were a few really interesting points; things to ponder, reflect on and roll around for a while.  Thanks Father Christian.

That is wonderful, Fr. Christian, that you were involved with the Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat!  What an emotional and healing experience for those that will put their fear aside and allow God’s Mercy into their lives. I am not ashamed to say that I participated in this retreat several years ago and it saved my life!  Bless you for taking the time to journey with these individuals.

It can certainly be a very healing experience. My part is very small, but I am always happy to be invited.
